Golf Tournaments Online offers golfers the ability to play golf at their desired venue while competing against other golfers at the same or other venues.
Once you become a member of our website, you may enter as many tournaments as you desire. Then you play your round of golf, on the registered date, and log in to post your score and required information.
Golf Tournaments Online will pay monetary prizes to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners based on low net score. The formula used to figure the net score is as follows:
Golfer’s handicap index multiplied by golf course slope rating from tees played divided by 113 equal course handicaps.
Golfer’s gross score minus course handicap equals golfer’s net score.
This formula takes into consideration the golfers ability as well as the difficulty of the golf course.
Once all scores are posted, the gross scores will be converted into net scores and posted under the results section of the website.
Sixty percent of all entry fees for each flight will be paid out to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners in the following format:

Participants have the option to enter in a numerical indexed flight and/or the open flight.
If you enter a numerical flight and the open flight, there will be a $25.00 entry fee for each flight.
A minimum of 5 players must enter to participate in a particular flight. In the event a flight does not have enough entrants, no tournament will be held and a credit will be given towards future tournaments.
Net scores are calculated to the nearest 100th decimal point in an effort to avoid ties; however, in the event of a tie the policy will be as follows:
If 2 players tie for first place, the 1st and 2nd place prize money will be combined and split equally between the 2 players. The player with the 2nd lowest score will receive the 3rd place prize money. The same principle will be followed for any other ties. In the event 5 players tie for 1st place, the prize money for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place will be combined and split equally between the 5 players. No other players will receive prize money.
VERIFICATION
Once all scores have been posted and the winners determined, Golf Tournaments Online will verify that the entire winner’s information was properly entered. We will log into
ghin.com and/or
golfnet.com to verify the proper handicap index was used and the same score was posted through the handicap service on the date played. Both scores must be posted on the tournament date or the score and the player will be disqualified. We will also log into
golfcoursesguide.org to verify the golf course information.
If a posted score is more than 5 strokes below a golfer’s handicap index, further verification will be required. Additional verification may include but not be limited to a signed scorecard by all the players in your group, email verification from 1 or more players in your group and/or verbal verification from one or more players from
within the group. It is the responsibility of the member to be sure this information is available.
